Before Career day I wanted to be a chef because I love to cook and thought maybe one day I would have my own restaurant. I thought that I would probably get more money if I was a chef because of all the customers that would come in and buy food, but now that I think of it I would have to hire other people to help cook the food, help take orders and take people to their seats. Since they are working for me I have to give them a paycheck. At the Reality Store, I learned that there is more than just buying a car or a house. First off you need to have the money to buy it, then you have to get insurance, child care, medical/dental, and Utilities plus entertainment for your family, and and it costs money to do all of this. If you wanted to go somewhere with your family you would have to have to put money back to go. I do think that kids should appreciate their parents more cause they pay for the house you live in, the clothes you wear, your transportation. Nowadays teens always want to go places and have fun well that all costs money you would have to plan it and start putting back money for your family to go. I learned from the afternoon speakers on how to get a good job, and where you can go to try and find a job.I found interesting that instead of the speaker just going on and on about Interviewing skills she actually taught us how we could act around other people in an interview by shaking our hands and what you should, you should look like you want to be their so dress nice. Making eye contact with us when we talked to her or she talked to us.
