3/24/17 3rd period From this poster assignment I have learned more of what the words mean, than I did before. Their's really not anything I would change about this assignment, I think this is a good idea by just putting key words in for the definition to remember them. This assignment will prepare us for the test because we most likely will need to know some of these words just in case they show up on one of tests we take, and if they do then we will be prepared and we will know what they mean. 3/2/17 3rd period Should apple have resisted FBI pressure to hack a terrorist iPhone. Terrorist have information about the U.S. Why should Apple create a software so the FBI agents could get into your phone. According to Randal G. Holcombe, The FBI asked Apple to create software to unlock the phone and allow their agents to search through it. When Apple refused, the FBI sought to force the company to help by taking it to court. The threat of a secret way to see information in our phones. The real danger we face is a secret attack on our rights. The FBI should not be able to hack into Apple IPhones The FBI can not just go and search one person just because they think it's them. The Fourth Amendment states that the government has a right to search personal property. However, The Fourth Amendment does not say that anyone else can be forced to help the government in its searches. They may want to break the right to search personal property. If they do that why can’t they break any other amendment. The FBI dropped the lawsuit against Apple does not mean Tim Cook acted justly. Cook refused to unlock Farook's phone without the password to help the FBI investigate the shootings. This refusal is hard to defend when America and its allies are under attack from extremist groups. Why did the FBI file a lawsuit against Apple anyways, they dropped it after Cook refused to unlock Farooks phone. The FBI should not be able to hack your iPhone. They should only be allowed if they have your permission and only if you were noticed in an act of crime. There are many ways to hit a volleyball and three ways are, serving, bumping and setting a volleyball. Practice is what will make you be better in volleyball.
William G. Morgan, a graduate of the Springfield College of the YMCA, designed the game volleyball to be a combination of basketball, baseball, tennis, and handball. There are 2 different ways to serve a volleyball. One way to serve a volleyball is the overhand serve, you have to start with your feet. Put your left foot in front of your right, about shoulder width apart. Hold the ball at about eye-level with your left hand on the bottom and your right hand on top. The toss should only be high enough so that when you pull back your right arm, the hand contacts the ball on its downward swing. Toss the ball with your left hand, pull back your right arm as far as possible and swing. The second way to serve a volleyball is the underhand serve, you have to hold the ball in the hand opposite from the hitting hand, a right-handed player would hold the ball in the left hand. Hold the ball below the waist and above the knee so that with bent knees, the server is in good position to get the ball over the net. I serve a volleyball overhand, to me I think it is easier than the underhand serve. I like to serve overhand better because you can get the ball to go where you want it to go, for me when I try to serve underhand the ball goes everywhere else than where I want it to go There's only one way to bump a volleyball. There are 8 steps to bumping a volleyball.First you have to Get in position, Create a platform with your arms, the third step is Use your legs, Hit the ball with both arms,Move to the ball, Pass the ball, Aim the ball, the last step is keep your eye on the ball after you bump it. If you follow these steps and you practice bumping a volleyball you will get better at it. To get into potion you need to stand with your legs shoulder width apart and lean forward a little bit. Creating a platform with your arms, the platform is the area between your wrists and elbows. You need to use your legs and your arms, push through the ball. Potion yourself so that you hit the ball with both arms. To bump the ball you have to move to the ball so that it will come down squarely in front of you. To pass the ball either over then net or to a teammate you have to keep your eyes on the ball. You need to aim the ball where you want t to go, so if you twist your shoulders to aim the ball you will get the ball to go where you want it to. Last thing you need to do when bumping a volleyball is watch the ball with your eyes not your whole body. The set shot is great for controlling the ball and setting up for an attack. It's a great technique for your team to set up and score points. It’s an overhand or overhead shot. The shot is controlling the ball hitting in straight up above the net and relatively close to the net. This is because the set shot is setting up for the last shot out of the 3 shots. The set shot involves using your palms and hitting the ball following through straight up. This works pretty good for me. Your fingers are the only part of your hand that touches the ball. Your thumbs, index fingers, and middle fingers are what you use with your wrists to catch and push the ball. To get better at volleyball you just need to follow the steps and practice, instead of trying to get better on your own and not knowing how to do it. I know this from experience because when I went to my first practice after summer was over, I wasn’t as good so I started practicing harder and harder soon I became not the best volleyball player, but a decent one. Being famous can be stressful. According to stylecaster.com George Clooney, a famous celebrity, quoted “I haven’t walked in Central Park for 15 years. I’d like to, you know?” he says “The truth is you run as fast as you can toward it because it’s everything you want. Not just the fame but what it represents, meaning work, meaning opportunity.” Being famous doesn’t give you many opportunities in life.
According to Can Fame Make You Happy, “Justin Bieber has been spending most of his time apologizing for his bad behavior. He’s been arrested for drunk driving and charged with vandalism”. This explains that being famous can change your whole life, and make act different. Being famous would be nice because you would have a lot of money. You have people looking up to you when they get older. According to “Can Fame and Fortune”, “Jennifer Lawrence gets amazing perks, like free clothes from top designers, front-row seats at the award shows, and trips around the world”. Stars lives may look easy and fun, but it can be very hard and stressing. Despite their fame and fortune, many celebrities may not be as happy as they seem. According to a recent study, true happiness doesn't come from attention and fame. Turns out, the happiness that comes from fame is fleeting. “It’s the kind of happiness you get when you buy a new purse,” explains Donna Rockwell, a psychologist who specializes in celebrity mental health. “That kind of happiness fades within no time.” being famous is like just asking for attention from other people, because thew Doing what you want to do can be just as effective as doing what you have to do to make money. Over Christmas break, it started out boring, but when it got closer to Christmas Day it started to be fun. We went to a lot of Christmas parties. My aunt Barb organized a little family Christmas party on my dad’s side of the family. My sister, my cousin Maddi, and me, all had to go outside to get something out of Maddi's mom and dads car and when we got out their Emma was running and didn't know their was ice on the gravel and she slippedand fell on the ice, we all just started bursting out laughing. Emma and my cousin Maddi decided to go on the ice again and they both almost fell again. Then we got some food and played with our little cousins and mine and Sadie’s nephew for the rest of the time. On Christmas Eve my older brother RJ came up for the weekend from Tennessee. We had a little get together with some cousins and friends. All of the little kids frosted cookies, and we got everybody a gift to open on Christmas Eve. Everybody just sat around and played board games and ect. On Christmas Day we went to my grandma’s house to see how she was doing, because she just got out of the hospital. Although I’m only 14 years old, I know what I want to be when I grow up. I love working with people and helping them, so I want to become a Nursing assistant, and to become a Nursing assistant I will have to work harder and learn more on how to become one. To become a Nursing assistant I will have to get a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for coursework in the nursing major to remain in the nursing program.
I will become a Nursing assistant by reaching my goals. To reach my goal I will learn how to become a better Nursing assistance. According to “Ohio Means Jobs” it says to be a Nursing Assistant You need to be able to get to someone fast just in case of an emergency. To become a Nursing Assistant you will have concentrate in class try to bring your grades up so you can get into a good college. What is a nursing assistant? According to “all allied health schools” A person who has completed a brief health care training program and who provides support services for RNs (Registered Nurse) and LPNs(licensed vocational nurse. Also known as an orderly or, when certified by a state agency, a certified nurse aide.Nursing assistants sometimes called nursing aides, help provide basic care for patients in hospitals and residents of long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes. In order to become a great Nursing Assistant I will have to provide up to nine out of every ten hours of direct care for each patient! A nursing assistant in almost all medical institutions or private organizations in all corners of the world is probably the most under valued staff member. These are the people who take care of our loved ones around the clock when they are hospitalized. Many of the nurses even take on the responsibilities of the Medical supervisors or the doctors in charge, and this makes them a very important part of the medical system. I feel like the career fair really showed how you can start making changes to your life now by getting good grades to get a good job. You should put priorities first and spend your money wisely.Using career day and the research in this project, I see that growing up will not be easy, no matter what you have planned. You will most likely have a higher paying job. Demand will always be a big deal, because job demand will always be changing. Simple everyday things cost the most money, such as a house, car, food, clothes, taxes, and insurance. Before Career day I wanted to be a chef because I love to cook and thought maybe one day I would have my own restaurant. I thought that I would probably get more money if I was a chef because of all the customers that would come in and buy food, but now that I think of it I would have to hire other people to help cook the food, help take orders and take people to their seats. Since they are working for me I have to give them a paycheck. At the Reality Store, I learned that there is more than just buying a car or a house. First off you need to have the money to buy it, then you have to get insurance, child care, medical/dental, and Utilities plus entertainment for your family, and and it costs money to do all of this. If you wanted to go somewhere with your family you would have to have to put money back to go. I do think that kids should appreciate their parents more cause they pay for the house you live in, the clothes you wear, your transportation. Nowadays teens always want to go places and have fun well that all costs money you would have to plan it and start putting back money for your family to go. I learned from the afternoon speakers on how to get a good job, and where you can go to try and find a job.I found interesting that instead of the speaker just going on and on about Interviewing skills she actually taught us how we could act around other people in an interview by shaking our hands and what you should, you should look like you want to be their so dress nice. Making eye contact with us when we talked to her or she talked to us. Sadie Suddith
November 3rd, 2016 3rd period Donald Trump For President I would vote for Donald Trump which is who America should vote for. Donald Trump is a leader and can Make America Great Again with gun control. According to Donald Trump’s twitter he states that “If you had guns in that room, even if you had a number of people having ‘em strapped to their ankle or strapped to their waist where bullets could have flown in the other direction right at him, you wouldn’t have had the same kind of a tragedy,” Trump is referring to a club in Orleans that was shot up and 49 people died. Donald Trump is stating that by having the second amendment in tacked that people can protect themselves against burglars, invaders, terrorist etc, and yet Hillary wants to take away guns because of terrorists. Hillary Clinton wants to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Hillary Clinton tweeted some words on Gun Control. “More than 33,000 Americans are killed by guns each year. It’s time to act. As President, I'll take on the gun lobby and fight for commonsense reforms to keep guns away from terrorists, domestic abusers, and other violent criminals—including comprehensive background checks and closing loopholes that allow guns to fall into the wrong hands.” Hillary Clinton has a point about gun control we do need to keep guns away from criminals. So many people have died from other people with guns just going up to them and killing them for no apparent reason and with Hillary Clinton we can stop this because of her concern of better background checks. On the other hand if she takes our guns away, then how will we protect ourselves in the army or anywhere? Donald Trump wants to build a wall so illegal immigrants can’t come into America. According to Donald Trump’s twitter he said some words on building a wall such as, Mexico makes a fortune because of us. A wall is a tiny little peanut compared to that. I would do something very severe unless they contributed or gave us the money to build the wall.” Donald Trump wants to have mexico pay to build a wall because illegal immigrants are coming to America and taking our jobs and committing crimes. This is a bad reputation for America because with all these crimes on record could affect the way people from other countries see our country and that may cause them not to come into America just because of illegal immigrants. With all the information that I just stated about Donald Trump proves that he would Make a great leader, because he wants the 2nd amendment, yes Hillary wants to get rid of the 2nd amendment but she wants to keep guns away from criminals, and I agree with her. -October 24th - October 28th

My sister, mom, dad, and me all went to nickel plate beach, and almost got pooped on by a bird. We all got really burnt too. I hung out with a lot of my friends over the summer.
Emma, Christian Murray, Kristian Murray, Olivia Murray, Derek Murray, Ariana Friend, and me all went night swimming at my neighbor's house. We all went to VBS (Vacation Bible School) together for two weeks, we were all practically together like the whole summer, and we hung out with Abigail Hunt and with her sisters (Sara Hunt and Frannie Felver) and her brother (Corbin Felver). Me and Emma had a back to school cookout, a bunch of our family and a few of our friends came. We had a spaghetti fight, balloon fight, and we even filled up party balloons with shaving cream and put little toys in them so little kids could try to bust them open and get a prize. Emma, Kristian, and me went to our cousin Madison's house for a early Labor Day party, and a bunch of my dad's side of the family went. I meant some family members that I've never met before too. She lives in Willard,Ohio, with one of her daughter’s, Ruth. Which is my Aunt. My grandma is the best person I have ever met. She is a loving, caring, and a strong person. She is loving because she is always giving people hugs. She's caring because she is always helping someone even though she’s 83 years old. And my grandma is strong because there is always something going wrong in our family, she's always been strong, and she tries to do anything she can. She is my hero because even though she has been in the hospital a few times she stays strong and is still going. She helps me through my life. If she can be strong I know that means I can be strong. My grandma is an inspiration to me. She means the world to me. Week of August 29 - September 2nd 2016
